As of Wednesday, May 15, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has officially ended its partnership with World of Hyatt in favor of Hilton Honors.

Here’s everything you need to know about any future hotel bookings you may have via this partnership.

Hyatt and Small Luxury Hotels Have Parted Ways

Hyatt’s partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), which was first formed in 2018, has officially ended. The news was first announced in February that SLH would be parting ways with Hyatt and forming a new partnership with Hilton Honors.

While not available just yet, the collection of nearly 600 hotels will soon be bookable through Hilton.com.

The last day that World of Hyatt members could earn or use points at SLH properties was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Still, reservations for SLH properties made through Hyatt, with a check-in date anytime after May 15, will be honored. However, it’s important to know that Hyatt benefits, including free breakfast, points earning, and elite night credits, won’t apply.

To change or cancel your reservation, you’ll need to contact Small Luxury Hotels of the World to process the modifications.

Fortunately, the benefits of this partnership will last a little longer for anyone who has The World of Hyatt Credit Card or the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. Hyatt cardholders will continue to earn 4 Hyatt points per dollar spent at SLH properties through August 31, 2024.

Hot Tip:

While it’s sad to see Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) go, all hope is not lost. Hyatt recently acquired Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which will add over 1,500 boutique hotels to its portfolio.

Final Thoughts

Now that the World of Hyatt and SLH partnership has come to a close, it’s important to take a look to see if any of your bookings have been impacted. Reservations made through Hyatt with check-in dates after May 15, 2024, will be honored; however, Hyatt benefits and points earning won’t apply.

The information regarding The World of Hyatt Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
