You’ll want to carry the Capital One Savor card with you daily as the card earns 3% cash-back on qualifying dining and grocery stores (excluding Walmart and Target). You will also earn 3% cash-back on entertainment purchases, including popular streaming services.

Cardholders also earn 8% cash-back at Capital One Entertainment and 5% cash-back on Capital One Travel hotel and rental car purchases.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Capital One Platinum Card

According to Capital One, you’re encouraged to have at least a fair credit score to qualify for the Capital One Platinum card. Capital One also describes a qualifying cardholder as “having defaulted on a loan in the past 5 years or having a limited credit history of less than 3 years.” Credit scoring company FICO describes a fair credit score as falling between 580 and 669.

Capital One Savor Card

For the Capital One Savor card, an excellent credit score is recommended. An excellent credit score, according to FICO, is a score that falls between 740 and 790. Capital One adds that a qualifying applicant has “never declared bankruptcy or defaulted on a loan, not been more than 60 days late on any credit card, medical bill, or loan in the last year, and has a loan or credit card for 3 years or more with a credit limit above $5,000.”

It is worth noting, however, that if your credit history closely matches the description of a qualifying applicant and your score is good (670 to 739), you may qualify for the Capital One Savor card.
