We love great deals at Upgraded Points, especially when one comes around for something that usually is a bit tricky to book with points — like cruises.

Virgin Voyages is back with awesome deals on select cruises that you can book with Virgin Red points.

Here are all the juicy details.

New Virgin Voyages Cruise Deals

There are 4 new deals available for Mediterranean all-inclusive cruises that are bookable using Virgin Red points.

These limited-time deals are available for sailings between May and October 2024, with many different itineraries available. The price is per cabin, regardless if you book for 1 or 2 people, in a Sea Terrace or Central Sea Terrace room.

You’ll want to act quickly, as availability is first come, first served.

  • 5-night Caribbean cruise between June and September 2024: 115,000 points
  • 14-night Barcelona to Miami on October 27, 2024: 280,000 points
  • 7-night Mediterranean cruises on May 12 or May 19: 120,000 points
  • 7-night Mediterranean cruise between May and October 2024: 160,000 points
  • 16-night Rome to Miami on November 28: 320,000 points

How To Find These Deals

These Virgin Voyages Deals are available through the Virgin Red website. Just click on Spend at the top of the screen.

Is It a Good Deal?

Cruises can be tricky to book with points (especially if you like maximizing their value), so it’s awesome to see these Virgin Voyages cruises offer excellent redemption value.

Virgin Voyages itineraries, in particular, are more expensive than most since they’re adults-only, feature high-end food, and include a lot of activities for free. They also include Wi-Fi and gratuities in the purchase price.

As an example, a 5-night Riviera Maya cruise in the Caribbean can cost you $2,676 for 2 guests. If you were to book this cruise for 115,000 points, it’d net you a value of 2.32 cents per point — but it gets even better!

How To Get Virgin Red Points

Virgin Red points are easy to earn since you can link your Virgin Red account directly to your Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account. While these 2 programs are technically different, you can still transfer points seamlessly between them at a 1:1 ratio.

It’s very easy to earn Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points as the program is partners with all of the major transferrable currency programs, including:

So, if you wanted to take advantage of one of these deals, you could simply transfer points over from one of the aforementioned programs to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and then transfer them again to Virgin Red, where you’ll be able to book the cruise.

But the deal becomes even sweeter when you take into account the fact that both American Express and Chase are featuring a 30% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, meaning you could book a 5-night Caribbean cruise by transferring just 89,000 points!

Final Thoughts

You can now book select Virgin Voyages cruises for only 89,000 Virgin Red points. The cruises are for 2 people on a few different itineraries, including transatlantic options. You’ll need to book soon to take advantage of this deal as there are a limited number of cabins available.
