PLAY Airlines is at it again. The Icelandic ultra-low-cost carrier is offering round-trip fares from the East Coast to destinations across Europe starting from just $235.

Here are some of the best fares we found.

Europe Flight Deal — Details

You’ll have probably guessed it already, but these fares aren’t nonstop. PLAY is based at its Icelandic home of Reykjavik Airport, where all its transatlantic flights start and end.

However, the airline has built its entire network around this schedule, so connecting should be seamless. The fares are available throughout the last 5 months of 2024, giving lots of flexibility for travelers.

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: Baltimore (BWI), Boston (BOS), New York-Stewart (SWF), and Washington D.C. (IAD) to Copenhagen (CPH), Dublin (DUB), Reykjavik (KEF), Paris (CDG), and more
  • Dates: August to December 2024
  • Rates: From $235 round-trip

The cheapest fare we found is Baltimore to Reykjavik at just $235:

You can also find sub-$300 fares to Dublin from Washington, D.C.:

For a little over $300, you can fly from New York-Stewart to Copenhagen:

Finally, you can fly from Boston to Paris from $311:

Best Ways To Book

PLAY’s classic low-cost airline business model means it doesn’t offer passengers a frequent flyer program or the ability to earn and spend miles. As such, paying cash is your only option when booking tickets.

Thanks to credit cards such as The Platinum Card® from American Express, you can still earn points when booking flights with PLAY. Using this card would earn you 5x Membership Rewards points per $1 spent on flights when booked directly with the airline or through AmexTravel.com (limit of $500,000 per year, then 1x). You can transfer Amex Membership Rewards points to a multitude of different airline mileage programs to redeem on flights.

Hot Tip:

One of the other excellent perks the Amex Platinum card comes with is a Priority Pass membership (enrollment required), which means even when flying a low-cost airline like PLAY, you’ll be able to start your journey from both ends with a visit to a lounge where available.

Final Thoughts

Europe is calling, and PLAY will charge you as little as $235 to get there and back. With plenty of departures via the East Coast, there’s an option for you no matter where you’re located.
