Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Have you ever woken up and thought to yourself, “Wow, I really wish I was sitting in premium economy for 18 hours straight?” Well, you’re in luck because that magical experience can be yours for a paltry $1,397 round-trip on nonstop flights from New York (JFK, EWR) to Singapore (SIN).

Let’s take a look in more detail.

Fare Details

Singapore Airlines’ premium economy is among the best, and although the seats don’t fully recline, they’re still very comfortable. They’re more akin to domestic first class seats, with a footrest and better recline than standard economy.

Premium economy passengers are also entitled to better food, including the ability to book the cook. Finally, priority boarding, check-in, and baggage handling are all part of the premium economy experience.

  • Class: Premium economy
  • Routes: Newark (EWR, JFK) to Singapore (SIN)
  • Dates: September 2024 to March 2025
  • Rates: From $1,397 round-trip

There’s widespread availability at these rates, even in 2025. The only exception to this is weekend departures. Here’s an example in mid-January:

Note that although the fare calendar is showing $1,471, clicking through to purchase will show that lower $1,397 rate.

Best Ways To Book

The absolute cheapest way to book this fare is through an online travel agency (OTA). This includes sites such as Expedia or Priceline and can be a decent option if you’re looking to spend as little money as possible. If this is the case, pay using a card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, which will earn 3x Ultimate Rewards points on all travel purchases.

You can also choose to book directly with the airline, which may cost a little more but can be helpful if you need to change or cancel your flight. If this is what you choose, The Platinum Card® from American Express will allow you to earn 5x Membership Rewards on all flights booked directly with the airline or via AmexTravel.com (up to $500,000 per year, then 1x).

Final Thoughts

The journey from New York to Singapore is undeniably long. You spend a complete day and fly for more than 18 hours in a single direction. However, with this fare sale from Singapore Airlines, you’ll be able to enjoy yourself a little more in the airline’s excellent premium economy product.
