Avelo, the ultra-low-cost airline, will launch 10 new routes from Raleigh-Durham (RDU), including 2 international destinations, and will establish bases at Charlotte Concord-Padgett Airport (USA) and Wilmington International Airport (ILM).

“Establishing bases in Charlotte and Wilmington, as well as our international expansion at our RDU base, enables us to bring even more affordable, convenient, and industry-leading reliability to more destinations,” said Andrew Levy, CEO and founder of Avelo Airlines.

Here are the details of Avelo’s latest network expansion.

Avelo Doubles Down on North Carolina

Avelo is doing what it does best: connecting underserved regional airports with unique, nonstop services.

Additionally, the Houston-based carrier is expanding its reach by introducing 2 new international routes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and 2 new bases in North Carolina: Charlotte Concord-Padgett Airport (USA) and Wilmington International Airport (ILM).

Avelo will be the only airline operating the 7 new routes it will launch from Concorde, Raleigh, and Wilmington.

From Wilmington, nonstop service to Manchester (MHT), Nashville (BNA), and Rochester (ROC) will start in April 2025 and operate 2x weekly.
