If flying to Chile in business class is on your to-do list, check out these flights our team has found.

South American giant LATAM operates a few nonstop routes from the U.S. to Santiago, the Chilean capital, and we’re seeing wide-open availability from Miami, New York City, and even Los Angeles — a rare alert for West Coast readers.

Let’s examine how you can book this award flight.

Award Deal — Details

We found particularly great award space at a few main airports: Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), and New York (JFK). If you’re not based in any of these major cities, it may be worth positioning yourself, as this is one of the best business class deals to South America.

  • Class: Business
  • Route: Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), and New York (JFK) to Santiago (SCL)
  • Cost: As few as 90,000 points and $19 in taxes and fees
  • Travel Dates: February through July 2025
  • Award Seats: Up to 4 passengers per route, though typically just 2

This is a great opportunity to experience the wonders of Patagonia via Torres del Paine National Park, explore the Atacama Desert, or enjoy the country’s famous wine and food regions.

How To Book

Despite Delta and LATAM’s joint partnership, the best way to book these flights is not via Delta SkyMiles.

Instead, set your sights on Qantas Frequent Flyer to find near-daily availability from February to July 2025 on these routes.

Sadly, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan isn’t finding any of these business-class seats, which would cost just 50,000 miles and $19 in taxes and fees if they become available.

Booking options for the Miami-Santiago route should price as follows:

Note that pricing will increase for the longer routes or adding a connection. Expect to pay 90,000 points with Qantas if you fly from JFK to SCL via Lima, Peru (LIM) or fly nonstop from Los Angeles to Santiago.

Hot Tip:

Don’t have any Qantas points? You can transfer points into your Qantas account from Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One miles, and Citi ThankYou Points.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been hunting for business class deals for a trip in early 2025, you may want to start planning a trip to Chile. While LATAM doesn’t offer the best premium cabin experience out there, it has gotten much better in recent years, and the available dates can’t be beat.
