A trip to Tahiti is a dream for many travelers, yet the cost of reaching this paradise can be quite high.

Thanks to some new award availability, you can book flights to this exotic location in business class starting at only 60,000 miles and $18.10 in taxes and fees per person.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Award Alert — Details

We found business-class award tickets from several West Coast U.S. airports to Faa’a International Airport (PPT), the primary international airport of French Polynesia on the island of Tahiti.

Here’s how much it will cost and how you can book it:

  • Class: Business
  • Route: Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle (SEA), and Honolulu (HNL) to Faaʻa International Airport in Tahiti (PPT)
  • Cost: From 60,000 miles plus $18 in taxes and fees
  • Travel Dates: February 2025 to January 2026
  • Award Seats: Up to 4 passengers per route in business

We’re seeing a lot of award availability for up to 4 business class seats between Tahiti and Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle (SEA), and even Honolulu (HNL) until early next year.

You’ll find awards using Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles for 60,000 miles per person plus $18. Alaska Airlines lets you search with flexible dates, but you can’t use the calendar to compare multiple routes at once. If you want to check a range of dates and routes at once, use a tool like Seats.aero.

These flights will be operated by Air Tahiti Nui on its Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which features 30 lie-flat business class seats. You will, therefore, reach paradise in luxury.

Best Ways To Book

The best way to book these business class awards is by redeeming Alaska Mileage Plan miles.

You can earn Alaska miles by using an Alaska Airlines credit card, shopping through the Mileage Plan Shopping portal, dining at restaurants that participate in Mileage Plan Dining, flying with Alaska’s Oneworld partners, and more. You also can transfer points from Bilt Rewards (1:1) or Marriott Bonvoy (3:1).

Lastly, you can now transfer American Express Membership Rewards to Hawaiian Airlines at a 1:1 ratio, and then transfer from Hawaiian to Alaska.

Hot Tip:

Are you wondering when to use points and when to pay for a flight? Our transfer partner calculator can do the math for you.

Final Thoughts

Tahiti is a true paradise. The sandy beaches, turquoise waters, lush landscape, rich culture, and coral reefs are all within reach at a price that makes this dream vacation more attainable than ever.

This award deal is also an excellent way to visit the nearby islands of Moorea and Bora Bora, which are just a quick plane or boat ride away from Tahiti.
