Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is on the move again with another West Coast expansion.

This spring, the airline is introducing service to its fifth California city: San Diego.

Along with the announcement, there are 8 additional routes that Breeze is gearing up for very soon — including 5 from San Diego. Here are all the details.

Breeze Adds Much-Needed Service From San Diego

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is finally getting new routes thanks to Breeze, a startup airline with a mission of connecting underserved cities:

  • Cincinnati (CVG): Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays; begins May 2
  • Jacksonville, Florida (JAX): Wednesdays and Saturdays; begins May 1
  • Raleigh-Durham (RDU): Tuesdays, Sundays, and Thursdays; begins April 30
  • Norfolk (ORF): Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; begins May 1
  • Pittsburgh (PIT): Mondays and Fridays; begins May 3

All 5 of these new routes will be flown on the airline’s fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with its very own version of first class known as “Ascent.” You’ll have to book the “Nicest” fare in order to snag these seats, which feature a 2-2 configuration recliner-style seating and unlimited snacks and beverages.

In addition, the carrier also offers a unique 1-stop service offering known as “BreezeThru,” which allows passengers to remain on the plane while it stops at another destination along the way. There will also be daily BreezeThru service between San Diego (SAN) and both Hartford (BDL) and Providence (PVD).

Hot Tip:

Did you know? Breeze doesn’t charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes prior to departure — you’ll just have to pay the fare difference.

Breeze Introduces 3 Other Nonstop Routes

That’s not all for Breeze. In May, the airline will also introduce these seasonal routes to its schedule. (The final route on this list isn’t entirely new, but it’s resuming for the summer season.)

  • Raleigh/Durham (RDU) to Westchester (HPN): Mondays and Fridays, begins May 3
  • Cincinnati (CVG) to Hartford (BDL): Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, begins May 2
  • Charleston (CHS) to Los Angeles (LAX): Mondays and Fridays, begins May 3

The announcement comes as Breeze has launched its latest flash sale that must be booked by the end of day on January 12. With promo code “GETFRESH,” you can save 35% off round-trip flights —only on the base fares — for travel between January 15 and May 22.

Final Thoughts

Breeze’s latest expansion is fantastic news for locals and tourists alike. The carrier will add a handful of new cross-country routes this spring — including the resumption of the popular Charleston to Los Angeles service.
