Westchester County Airport (HPN) in New York State will welcome upstart carrier Breeze Airways on June 28, 2022.
Along with the new airline will come a total of 8 brand-new destinations for the airport located in the suburbs of New York City.
Here’s what you need to know about this exciting development for both Westchester Airport and Breeze Airways alike.
Breeze Brings 8 New Destinations for Westchester
Breeze Airline’s expansion into Westchester comes after the airline announced it would serve 35 new routes and 10 new cities. And when Breeze begins flights from the airport, it will bring along with it 8 new destinations for the airport — 7 of these routes will be served nonstop, 1 will be served with 1 stop, and 3 of them will be transcontinental.
Here’s a list of all the new routes that will be served:
Charleston (CHS)
Jacksonville (JAX)
Las Vegas (LAS)
Los Angeles (LAX)
New Orleans (MSY)
Norfolk (ORF)
San Francisco (SFO)
Savannah (SAV)
“This is exciting news for residents of the County of Westchester who’ve been wanting convenient flights to the West Coast,” said Hugh Greechan, Public Works/Transportation Commissioner of Westchester County.

This announcement is great news for those living in Westchester County and across the New York metropolitan area, whose only options for nonstop transcontinental flights — until Breeze’s new routes begin — are LaGuardia (LGA) or Kennedy (JFK) airports in New York or Newark (EWR) airport in New Jersey.
Here’s a breakdown of these new routes from Westchester, including when they’re slated to begin as well as their scheduled frequencies:

Breeze operates a fleet of Embraer E190 and E195 jets. Soon, though, it will take delivery of the all-new Airbus A220-300, which has frequent flyers — and the airline — very excited. You can expect to find Breeze’s A220s in the skies from May 4, 2022.
Final Thoughts
True to the airline’s mission, Breeze’s new routes from Westchester provide new nonstop service on previously underserved routes.
Nonstop transcontinental flights from Westchester to the likes of Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco will provide travelers who prefer the airport a whole new world of travel options.
We’re certainly excited to see what Breeze does next!
