EGYPTAIR is increasing its services to the U.S., kicking off a new nonstop route between Newark (EWR) and Cairo (CAI).
Starting June 3, 2023, the carrier will operate 3x weekly service, connecting the Egyptian capital to New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport.
Here are the details!
EGYPTAIR Announces New Newark Service
This summer, the flag carrier of Egypt will expand its offerings in the New York area. Namely, EGYPTAIR’s newest service to Newark will become the second nonstop option between the regionand Cairo.
The Newark service will operate 3x weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays:
When it takes wing for the first time this June, EGYPTAIR’s Cairo to Newark service will also become the carrier’s fourth nonstop service linking Egypt to North America.
Currently, the airline flies once daily to New York (JFK), 5x weekly to Toronto (YYZ), and 4x weekly to Washington-Dulles (IAD).
About EGYPTAIR
EGYPTAIR’s Newark service will be operated by the airline’s fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, carrying a capacity of 309 passengers. The jets are made up of 2 cabin classes: 279 seats in economy class and 30 seats in business class that recline into a fully lie-flat position.
Furthermore, round-trip fares are quite reasonable considering the 11+ hour blocked time for the flights. The carrier’s cheapest “Economy Best Buy” fares start at just $914 this fall, which includes a checked bag.
To sit up front in one of the lie-flat business class seats, the cheapest round-trip fares you’ll find start at around $3,127.
Newark’s newest EGYPTAIR service to Cairo will no doubt be welcomed by Egyptian diaspora living in New Jersey, as well as those wishing to visit the North African nation steeped in rich culture and history.
Plus, this is great news for United Airlines travelers from across the nation flying to its Newark (EWR) hub, with seamless connections thanks to Star Alliance partner EGYPTAIR.
