Winter 2024 is only just getting started and Norse is already looking ahead to the 2025/2026 season.

The Norwegian long-haul, low-cost carrier will temporarily increase the number of weekly services from New York (JFK) and Orlando (MCO) to London Gatwick (LGW) next winter.

“By planning ahead, our passengers can take advantage of our low fares and start looking forward to a memorable winter,” said Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder at Norse.

Here’s more on Norse’s U.S. schedule update.

Norse Ramps Up Connectivity Between the U.S. and U.K.

Norse is offering advance sales of flights to London Gatwick for the winter season 2025/2026, allowing travelers to plan ahead.

Booking flights this far in advance is uncommon, as airlines typically release their flight schedules for sale no more than 365 days ahead of time. However, travelers wanting to book their winter 2025/2026 travel plans can now do so with Norse’s latest schedule extension.

From November 30, 2025, until January 2, 2026, New York (JFK) will welcome a total of 6 weekly nonstop Norse flights to Gatwick — that’s up from 4 weekly service available this current winter season.

Flights will operate every day except Saturdays and start from just $156 one-way.

As for Orlando (MCO), Norse will increase its Gatwick frequency from 3 to 4 times weekly from December 14, 2025, until January 16, 2026, with service operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The cheapest one-way flights we’re seeing on this route start at $215.

During 2025’s peak summer travel season, Norse will operate daily services on both routes.

Norse’s U.S. Presence

Since operations began in March 2021, Norse has slowly but surely ramped up its North American route network.

At the time of writing, the low-cost start-up serves the following 13 routes from the U.S.:

  • JFK to Athens (ATH), Berlin (BER), London Gatwick (LGW), Oslo (OSL), Paris (CDG), and Rome (FCO)
  • Las Vegas (LAS) to London Gatwick (LGW)
  • Los Angeles (LAX) to London Gatwick (LGW) and Paris (CDG)
  • Miami (MIA) to Berlin (BER), London Gatwick (LGW), and Oslo (OSL)
  • Orlando (MCO) to London Gatwick (LGW)

Norse operates a fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which have 338 seats, 56 of which are recliner seats in the large premium cabin, and 282 economy seats.

The seats in the economy cabin are in a 3-3-3 configuration with around 31-32 inches of seat pitch.

Hot Tip:

As a low-cost carrier, Norse’s economy fares don’t include a checked bag. You’ll also have to pay for in-flight meals, even on these long-haul routes that it operates.

Final Thoughts

Norse is making a concerted effort to attract potential travelers by offering advance sales of its affordable fares from New York and Orlando to London Gatwick. The update is expected to be positively received by individuals who prefer to plan in advance on both sides of the Atlantic.
