Starlink’s ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi is coming to Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) aircraft. The Stockholm-based airline will begin a phased rollout of this best-in-class Wi-Fi at the end of 2025.

“Whether flying over the Atlantic or the North Sea, our passengers can now count on a connection that is as stable and seamless as it is fast,” said Paul Verhagen, chief commercial officer at SAS.

Let’s take a look at the details.

At a time when being connected is key, many airlines are striving to offer the best inflight Wi-Fi possible to keep their passengers online in the sky, and SAS is the latest to get on board with the trend.

As far as inflight Wi-Fi goes, it doesn’t get much better than Starlink. Thanks to its SpaceX-engineered satellites, passengers connected to Starlink Wi-Fi can enjoy its high speeds flying high above remote locations around the world where connectivity would otherwise be unreliable or nonexistent.

Starlink Wi-Fi is so fast and so reliable that it’s even possible to live stream and game online when connected.

Given SAS’s network of transatlantic routes between the U.S. and Scandinavia, this could be a huge unique selling point for travelers who need guaranteed internet connectivity when crossing the Atlantic.

Passengers won’t have to wait until they’re in the air, either. Starlink Wi-Fi is available from the minute you step on the aircraft until you arrive at your destination.

The cherry on the cake is that SAS will offer this service for free to members of its EuroBonus loyalty program. If you’re not already a member, it’s free to sign up here.

It’s not yet clear how much SAS will charge passengers who aren’t EuroBonus.

SAS joins fellow SkyTeam member Air France, which recently announced it will roll out Starlink Wi-Fi in 2025.

Hot Tip:

SAS frequently offers excellent value fares between the U.S. and Europe in both economy and premium economy cabins. Keep an eye out for our deal alerts so you don’t miss out!

Final Thoughts

The more airlines offering Starlink, the better.

If you’re planning on heading to Europe next year and need reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi, you might want to consider SAS and its Starlink connectivity, which will begin its rollout at the end of 2025.
