You’ll be in for a treat if you’re stopping by United’s Polaris lounge in Newark (EWR).

As of June 21, guests visiting the Polaris Lounge in Terminal C can enjoy a pre-flight bite in a designated new restaurant-style dining room.

“We’re bringing an elevated dining experience to Newark with the opening of a larger dining room at our Polaris lounge,” said Aaron McMillian, managing director of hospitality programs at United.

Let’s take a look at the details.

The beautifully designed new dining room in the Polaris Lounge at Newark (EWR) has enough seats for fewer than 60 guests — a 10% increase in overall seating capacity. Its opening will bring the lounge’s total size to 30,000+ square feet.

“For years, we’ve been investing in our club and lounge portfolio at Newark, and it’s our first hub to fully reflect our new designs and amenities,” said McMillan.

The space features seating for all group sizes, including tables for solo travelers that are situated in a prime spot overlooking the airport and the New York skyline in the distance.

Passengers can order United favorites, like the Polaris Signature Burger, from an à la carte menu. Along with the well-known Classic Red Snapper Bloody Mary, passengers can opt for additional popular cocktails like the espresso martini.

The new dining room will be especially good news for travelers boarding one of United’s many red-eye transatlantic flights to Europe. Those wishing to maximize sleep during their flight can now build in some extra time for a proper sit-down meal before boarding.

The dining room’s opening hours are daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Hot Tip:

Polaris Lounges are United’s most premium airport lounge offering, making them also the most exclusive to get into. You’ll need to be flying United Polaris business class to Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, or South America — or Polaris-marketed lie-flat seats on long-haul flights within the U.S. Additionally, first- and business-class passengers flying other Star Alliance carriers are eligible to use the lounges. You cannot pay your way in or gain access via a travel rewards credit card.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a United Polaris passenger departing from Newark, you might want to consider arriving with enough time to savor the flavors and views at the Polaris Lounge’s new dining room.

We can’t wait to try it for ourselves.
