Converting hotel points to airline miles (and vice versa) often doesn’t make sense. The math changes a bit when there’s a 15% transfer bonus, however.

Right now, you can enjoy 15% extra Flying Blue miles when converting your Accor ALL points to Flying Blue, boosting the transfer rate from 1:1 to 1.15. Should you send your Accor points to Air France and Flying Blue? Let’s take a look.

Accor Transfer Bonus to Flying Blue

Typically, you can move points from Accor Live Limitless (ALL) to Flying Blue at a 1:1 ratio. Note that there’s a 2,000-point transfer minimum, so 2,00 ALL points become 2,000 miles in your Air France or KLM account.

That ratio isn’t the same in reverse, to be clear: 4,000 Flying Blue miles become just 1,000 Accor points.

Right now, however, the transfer from Accor to Flying Blue is improved by 15%. You can turn 2,000 ALL points into 2,300 Flying Blue miles. This offer is available until November 17, 2024. Unfortunately, the bonus doesn’t apply in the other direction.

To convert points, you’ll have to do it on the Flying Blue website, which is where we first saw the offer. We couldn’t find it on the Accor website at all.

Hot Tip:

Before you can convert Accor points to Flying Blue, you’ll have to link your accounts. You can only link your Accor account to 1 airline at a time, so you’ll have to head to Accor’s website and unlink any other airline from your account (if applicable) before you can take advantage of this offer.

Is It Worth It?

Accor points are worth a flat amount, always knocking 40€ (roughly $42.93) off your bill when you redeem 2,000 points. That makes Accor points worth about 2.15 cents each.

Conversely, we value Flying Blue miles at 1.3 cents apiece. Should you turn 2.15 cents into 1.3 cents? No.

With the 15% transfer bonus from Accor to Flying Blue, however, the math shifts. You’ll turn 2.15 cents into 1.5 cents. That’s still a decrease in overall value, but there are other elements to consider.

Redeeming Accor points always happens at a fixed value, but that’s not true when redeeming Flying Blue miles. It’s easily possible to get more than 2.15 cents (the fixed value of Accor points) apiece from your Flying Blue miles when booking flights. You also can use this as a way to boost your Flying Blue account for an upcoming redemption if you’re a bit short.

Unless you’re redeeming your Flying Blue miles above that 2.15-cents-each mark, however, you’re better off leaving the points in your Accor account and not converting them.

Final Thoughts

Through November 17, you can turn 2,000 Accor points into 2,300 Flying Blue miles, thanks to a 15% transfer bonus. The offer isn’t available in reverse, and this transfer won’t make sense for everyone. If it does, this can be a good time to transfer your hotel points into airline miles for an upcoming redemption.
