Air France is leveling up its La Première ground experience in time for hosting the 2024 Olympic Games in its home city of Paris.

Starting July 2024, the airline’s La Première first-class passenger experience will become even more exclusive thanks to the addition of private security and in-lounge suites.

The news comes as Air France plans to introduce an entirely new onboard La Première experience starting in late 2024 through early 2025.

Here are the details.

Check-In and Private Security

The enhanced La Première ground experience will start with a dedicated check-in area that comprises 15 seats and 2 private lounges.

It’s here where Air France’s La Première team will take care of the whole check-in procedure for passengers flying the airline’s most exclusive product.

Once complete, guests will be escorted from the check-in lobby via a private passage to an exclusive security checkpoint, which will then continue onwards to the La Première lounge.

This removes the need for Air France La Première passengers to pass through the regular airport channels and brings the experience in line with the first-class offerings of other high-end airlines.

Private Suites in the Lounge

There’s no denying Air France’s La Première in-flight experience is world-class. However, even despite the haute cuisine, complimentary facials, and impeccable service, some would argue that the La Première lounge experience doesn’t quite match what they enjoy in the sky.

That’s all about to change, but at a cost.

In July, passengers will have the option to enhance their experience by choosing 1 of the 3 available 500-square-foot luxurious suites for an additional €800 ($868). These suites provide a perfect space for relaxation and comfort prior to a flight.

The design reflects the aesthetic of the hard and soft furnishings found in the La Première cabins. It features a neutral color scheme of whites and greys, with occasional pops of Air France’s signature red, paying homage to the brand.

More akin to a hotel room, the suites feature a separate private bedroom that boasts a proper double bed.

And, of course, no airport luxury lounge experience would be complete without an exquisitely appointed bathroom.

Perhaps the pièce-de-resistance for some would be the private outdoor terrace.

Details are scarce at this point, but we’d imagine the suites would need to be booked in advance and would come with a time allocation.

Booking Air France’s La Première first class with points and miles can be difficult. However, if you are interested in learning how to do so, here’s our guide on the Best Ways To Book Air France La Première First Class With Points [Step-by-Step]!

Final Thoughts

The opportunity for La Première passengers to go from check-in inside the lounge via a private security channel will completely revolutionize the Air France ground experience.

Having the luxury of a private suite with a comfortable bed, a well-appointed bathroom, and a secluded terrace just before boarding a flight is absolutely fantastic. However, these luxurious amenities do come with a steep price tag.

We’ll be back with an update as soon as more details are revealed.
