The program first launched for U.S. guests, but Airbnb has now expanded it worldwide, part of a broader effort to offer more flexible payment options that could also encourage more bookings for hosts.

The numbers back it up: A recent Airbnb survey found that 60% of respondents said flexible payment options were important when booking, while 55% actively used them when available. Meanwhile, 42% admitted they had delayed a booking — and, in some cases, missed out entirely — because coordinating payment with co-travelers took too long.

Reserve Now, Pay Later complements Airbnb’s other flexible payment options, including Pay Part Now, Part Later — which allows guests to split payments — and Pay Over Time with Klarna.
