Allegiant Air is adding several new snack and drink options to its onboard menu. The airline, which operates on an ultra-low-cost model, charges for onboard purchases and has added several new, familiar, premium brands to its menu selection.

Onboard Purchasing

It’s worth noting that Allegiant, unlike full-service carriers, does not offer a complimentary snack or drink service on board its planes. You’ll pay per drink or snack from an inflight menu if you wish to consume something. Many name-brand and premium snacks are offered, which is reflected in the price you’ll pay.

Allegiant touts that its dedicated Buy On Board team reviews feedback from onboard purchases to revise menu items quarterly. “We are thrilled to offer our customers the brands they know and love while traveling on Allegiant,” said Keny Wilper, Allegiant’s senior vice president and chief operating officer.

New Drinks

After a test on Las Vegas flights, Allegiant is adding Don Julio Reposado Tequila ($16.99), Ryder Estate Chardonnay ($8.99), and Ryder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon ($8.99). Allegiant now serves Sprite Zero ($3.99) for those preferring a non-alcoholic selection.

New Snacks

The new winter snack menu will now include Lay’s Barbecue Chips ($3.99), Nut Harvest Sea Salted Cashews ($3.99), and Grandma’s Chocolate Chip Cookies ($3.99). Other fan favorites like Cheez-It Crackers and Oreos will remain on the menu.

Hot Tip:

Unlike other airlines, Allegiant does not offer any fresh meals for sale on board. All products are shelf-stable snacks, so if you’re looking for something fresher, be sure to pick it up in the terminal before you board.

Final Thoughts

Look out for new drink and snack options on your next Allegiant flight! There’s a limited amount stocked on board, so if you’re interested in purchasing, be sure to let your flight attendant know.
