American Express has announced major changes to its cruise program. Today, Amex revealed its refreshed American Express Cruise & Yacht Collection program, which will go live on October 22, 2026, replacing Amex Cruise Privileges.

The new collection brings significantly more partners into the fold, including some of the most recognized names in the cruise and yacht industry.

The American Express Cruise Privileges program has long been an underrated part of the AmexTravel.com experience. With these changes, Amex is looking to change that.

Today, American Express has announced its refreshed American Express Cruise & Yacht Collection, which is set to go live on October 22. The new program better reflects how Amex’s portfolio has evolved to encompass a broader range of premium cruise, yacht, and superyacht experiences.

The Collection spans yacht partners, including The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Orient Express Sailing Yachts, and Aman at Sea, as well as cruise partners, including Virgin Voyages and Explora Journeys.

Additionally, cardholders of the Platinum Card^® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card^® from American Express, the Centurion^® Card from American Express, or the Business Centurion^® Card from American Express will receive several benefits with the Cruise & Yacht Collection.

Onboard credits and amenities: Eligible cardholders can receive $100 to $300 in onboard credit per room or suite, plus a special amenity, on eligible sailings of 5 nights or more with participating cruise lines and yacht brands.
Higher Membership Rewards point earnings: Cardholders will earn 2x Membership Rewards points on eligible cruise bookings.
Exclusive offers: Cardholders will get access to AmexTravel.com-exclusive offers across participating partners.
Expert planning: Cardholders will receive complimentary personalized trip planning through AmexTravel.com, with no booking fees.
Stackable benefits: Where eligible, Collection benefits can combine with cruise offers and cruise-line loyalty recognition.

As of now, there are no changes to how cardmembers earn or redeem Membership Rewards points in connection with cruise bookings.
