Avelo has announced 4 new nonstop routes from Tweed-New Haven, Connecticut (HVN).
The new destinations are in the southern states of the U.S. and include Charleston (CHS), Myrtle Beach (MYR), Nashville (BNA), and Savannah/Hilton Head (SAV), broadening the scope of Avelo’s very Florida-focused network from Tweed-New Haven (HVN).
“Our customers are telling us they would love for Avelo to fly to more places beyond Florida,” said Andrew Levy, Chairman and CEO at Avelo Airlines. “These 4 new routes show we’re listening.”
The route announcement is the second in as many months from Tweed-New Haven, which welcomed a new service to Sarasota-Bradenton in January 2022.
Let’s take a look at the schedules for these exciting new routes for Connecticut, starting as soon as May 5, 2022.
Tweed-New Haven’s New Routes With Avelo
When the routes launch, Avelo will be the only airline offering nonstop service from Tweed-New Haven to each of the new destinations.
“We are excited to see Tweed offering 4 new locations that will provide more leisure and business travel opportunities to New Haven residents,” said New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker.

At the time of writing, it only appears to be possible to search for availability and book tickets directly through the Avelo website.
Flights will be operated by the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, configured as you’d expect from an ultra-low-cost carrier — all-economy seating in a 3-3 layout.
Final Thoughts
Avelo’s new routes are a testament to the airline’s success at New Haven since its inaugural flight from the airport over 3 months ago.
Not only that, but those living in Southern Connecticut can look forward to even more travel possibilities for this summer and beyond.
