Avelo is introducing 3 new routes to its home airport at Tweed-New Haven (HVN) this June — right in time for peak summer.

“Today marks another significant milestone for Tweed-New Haven Airport and the communities we serve, and we applaud Avelo for their continued focus on Southern Connecticut flyers,” said Matt Hoey, chairman of The New Haven Airport Authority Board.

The low-cost carrier will also position a sixth aircraft at the Connecticut airport to make its new routes to Houston (HOU), St. Louis (STL), and Traverse City (TVC) possible.

There’s a bumper summer ahead for Avelo, which will now operate to more destinations than ever before from Tweed-New Haven.

True to the airline’s word, each of the new services will provide unique nonstop connections between primarily underserved airports — or niche routes.

That’s to say, Avelo is still the only airline to operate flights between Tweed-New Haven and the 3 additional airports it will serve in June. All new routes are scheduled to start in mid-June with varying frequencies.
