Want to visit one of the most anticipated hotel openings of 2025 but don’t want to spend $800 to $1,500 per night to stay there? How would you like to soak up luxury at your hotel while visiting an incredible city?

If you’re saying yes to all of that, we have good news: Reservations are open at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, and we’re seeing tons of availability using points for stays in 2026.

Book the Park Hyatt Tokyo With Points

In one of the most anticipated hotel openings of the year, the Park Hyatt Tokyo is reopening in December after a top-to-bottom renovation that closed the property in 2024. The property will reopen on December 9, 2025, but bookings are available as of today, September 24.

Though we aren’t seeing any award availability using World of Hyatt points to stay here through the end of 2025, we’re seeing a ton of availability at the Park Hyatt Tokyo in 2026 — including cherry blossom season. Award nights using points are available nearly every night from late January through the end of September 2026.

This availability isn’t likely to last long, though, so you should book quickly if you’re interested.

Room rates start around $800 per night before tax, though this can jump to $1,500 or more during the peak of cherry blossom season in late March and early April. Yes, that’s for a standard room. Thus, using points is definitely a better option here.

How To Find Award Availability

Hyatt recently rolled out a live with award availability calendar, making it easy to see a month’s worth of dates at a time. Award nights are available at the end of January for a few nights, and then things really open up in February. As the Park Hyatt Tokyo is a Category 8 property — the highest tier in Hyatt’s award chart — you’d pay 35,000 points per night on off-peak dates. You’d pay 40,000 points on standard dates and 45,000 points on peak nights.

Redeeming your Hyatt points is even possible during the peak of cherry blossom season, which deserves another mention, as this availability will be gobbled up quickly. If you want these popular dates, you should move quickly.

Cherry blossom season peaks in late March and early April every year, and aside from select dates around that time, nearly every night from February to September 2026 is available for points redemptions at the hotel.

Depending on the cash rate and the points rate for the night(s) you book, you’d be redeeming points at 2.2 to 3.3 cents apiece — well above our average valuation of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents apiece. This is a great time to use your points.

Hot Tip:

Need help earning Hyatt points for this redemption? You have options. Hyatt has a pair of credit cards with nice welcome bonuses. You also can transfer points from Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards into your World of Hyatt account.

Final Thoughts

For anyone eager to check out the renovated Park Hyatt Tokyo, bookings are now open. Though you could drop $1,000 a night to stay here on many nights of the year, points provide a great alternative.

We’re seeing wide-open availability from February to September 2026, with the exception of a handful of nights in late March and early April. These award nights will absolutely not stay wide open for long. You should act quickly if you’re interested.
