Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

U.K. flag carrier British Airways has announced a limited-time promotion giving every member of its Executive Club frequent flyer program the opportunity to earn double Avios on new flights booked by November 21, 2023.

The promotion couldn’t be more timely since the carrier made drastic changes to how Executive Club members earn Avios only 3 months ago.

Here are the details of the promotion and how you can make the most of it while it lasts.

British Airways Executive Club Double Avios Promotion

You must be a member of the airline’s Executive Club loyalty program to earn double Avios on your next British Airways flight.

If you’re not already a member, you can sign up for free in just a few steps.

Once you’re logged into your account, scroll down the homepage until you come across the offer:

The terms of the promotion stipulate that bookings must be made by November 21, 2023, and all flights taken before January 14, 2024. With just under 3 months, you’ll have to decide quickly if this is something you want to make the most of.

You’ll earn double Avios per £1 ($1.20) spent on up to 10 flights as well as holiday packages booked through BA.com.

Hot Tip:

While British Airways Executive Club might not be your go-to program for making reward redemptions, the program comes with some valuable ways to spend Avios, even when flying domestically in the U.S.

Unfortunately, any flights booked before registering for the promotion will not earn the promotional bonus Avios.

The total bonus Avios potential per flight ranges between 12 to 18 per £1 ($1.20), depending on your Executive Club status level:

TierMultiplierBonus Avios Offer
Blue6 Avios per £112 Avios per £1
Bronze7 Avios per £114 Avios per £1
Silver8 Avios per £116 Avios per £1
Gold and Above9 Avios per £118 Avios per £1

For example, a round-trip flight with BA from New York to London for £533 ($646) in economy would earn the following amounts of Avios:

  • Blue Status = 6,396 Avios
  • Bronze Status = 7,462 Avios
  • Silver Status = 8,528 Avios
  • Gold Status = 9,594 Avios

Final Thoughts

British Airways’ double Avios promotion is a good opportunity to earn more Avios for upcoming travel. It will hopefully go some way to ease the frustration of Executive Club passengers who might have felt disgruntled by the changes to earning Avios earlier this year.
