Orlando International Airport (MCO) will finally have a modern, reliable railway connection when Florida’s Brightline launches its inaugural service from the airport on September 22, 2023.

The eco-friendly intercity rail company’s services will head southwards from the airport connecting West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami

“Opening Orlando fulfills our ultimate business model,” said Patrick Goddard, President at Brightline. “We have seen incredible enthusiasm from the business and tourism industries eager to travel between Central and South Florida.”

Let’s take a look at the details of Orlando International Airport’s most significant transport connection in years.

Brightline’s First Orlando International Service

Brightline’s state-of-the-art locomotives will transport passengers from Orlando International Airport to Miami in just over 3 hours. Future plans for the station include extending the line West to Tampa.

The airport’s 37,350-square-foot, state-of-the-art station spans 3 floors in the heart of Orlando International Airport‘s main international Terminal C (which it is almost half the size of). The station connects Terminals A and B via an automated people mover in under 5 minutes.

Brightline is currently offering promotional one-way SMART fares starting at $39 for kids and $79 for adults.

Passengers can also opt to enjoy the PREMIUM experience from $149 one-way. Bonus perks and benefits include priority boarding, checked luggage, and complimentary snacks and beverages (including alcohol).

What’s more, complimentary Uber rides to and from the Brightline station within a 5-mile radius are also included in the cost of a PREMIUM ticket.

Bottom Line:

We’ve tried and tested Brightline, and we were very impressed with every aspect of the customer experience between Miami to Fort Lauderdale. Check out our detailed Brightline review to see just how much we loved it.

Final Thoughts

Brightline has revealed the launch date of its highly anticipated rail service from Orlando International Airport.

Starting September 22, 2023, Floridians and visitors can leave their cars behind and avoid airport craziness thanks to Brightline’s modern, environmentally friendly service that will connect Central Florida with popular destinations along the state’s East Coast.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for Brightline!
