The long-awaited opening of the Capital One Lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is finally here. This brand-new lounge officially opened its doors on September 7, 2023.

Here are the details of this exciting new lounge!

Details: Capital One Lounge at IAD

Capital One Lounges made a big splash with the first (and until now, only) location at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). After much anticipation, the second Capital One Lounge location opened on September 7, 2023, at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

This new lounge spans 8,500 square feet and can be found between the east and west security checkpoints behind TSA PreCheck.

The lounge’s amenities pay special attention to travelers in a rush — including a robust grab-and-go section and to-go options at the full-service coffee and pastry bar.

There will be plenty of seating for travelers looking to settle in between flights, including kid-sized tables and chairs and semi-private workspaces. The curated menu of small plates will include healthy options featuring locally sourced items. A full bar will also serve craft beer and cocktails.

The mid-century modern design of the lounge will feature teak wood architectural details and contemporary furniture. Local artists are featured throughout the lounge, and food and beverage options include local favorites: Lost Rhino Brewing Co, Bresca’s, and River-Sea Chocolates.

Families traveling with small children can take advantage of the parent’s room, which offers private space for feeding and nursing, a changing table stocked with diapers and wipes, and a bottle warmer.

Capital One Lounge Hours

The Capital One Lounge at IAD is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
