While there’s not a lot known about it, Cathay Pacific has teased a new business class product known as Aria Suite. This will become the new standard on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft starting in 2024. The suites are expected to include some new features, such as privacy doors and wireless charging.

Aria Suite Seats

Cathay Pacific has not published many details on the new Aria Suite seats, asides from a short promotional video. Based on what is in the video, and the modernization of business class seats recently, we can assume several key changes:

  • New technological enhancements, such as new IFE, potentially with Bluetooth capabilities and wireless charging
  • New suite doors, offering a much more private sleep experience; while suites won’t be fully enclosed, privacy doors will reduce being disturbed at night
  • New upholstery and aesthetics
  • Additional storage places throughout the seat

There may be additional features, but as Cathay hasn’t formally announced the seat and its specifications, we can only guess what these might be.

Most competitive business class products now feature sliding doors on the seats, so it’s certainly not surprising to see this design. As Cathay Pacific operates some of the longest flights worldwide, the Aria Suite will make Cathay’s premium product more competitive with other airlines offering this style of seat.

We can expect to hear more details about the new Aria Suite in late 2023.

Hot Tip:

The Boeing 777-300 ER is the flagship aircraft in Cathay Pacific’s fleet, and you can expect to see it on some of its most important routes. Check out our detailed guide to the Cathay Pacific routes to and from the U.S.

Final Thoughts

It’s exciting to see Cathay Pacific finally announce a new business class seat for its long-haul planes. The new seat may feature new options such as wireless charging and more storage and will create an even more pleasant onboard experience for premium class passengers.

Until the Aria Suite debuts in 2024, learn the best ways to book Cathay Pacific business class with points and miles so that you can plan ahead for a big award redemption.
