From March 30, 2026, Cathay will connect Seattle (SEA) and Hong Kong (HKG) with nonstop servic once again.

The flag carrier of Hong Kong will be the only airline to offer nonstop service between the 2 cities.

“We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States,” said Lavinia Lau, chief customer and commercial officer for Cathay Pacific.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Cathay Pacific’s Return to Seattle

With the start of the aviation summer season in March 2026, Seattle will become Cathay Pacific‘s seventh U.S. city offering nonstop service to Hong Kong.

The route will be operated by Cathay’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft. While these are some of the most modern planes in the airline’s fleet, they don’t feature the new Aria business class seats.

Cathay’s Seattle route will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the following schedule:

  • Depart Hong Kong (HKG) at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in Seattle (SEA) at 10:10 a.m.
  • Depart Seattle (SEA) at 11:50 a.m. and arrive in Hong Kong (HKG) at 4:45 p.m. (+1 day)

Seattle joins Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Toronto (YYZ), and Vancouver (YVR) as the ninth North American airport to benefit from Cathay’s nonstop flights to Hong Kong.

Tickets are now on sale, and Cathay is offering promotional round-trip economy fares between Seattle and Hong Kong from $651. The offer will end on October 31, 2025, and it’s valid for travel from March 30 to June 30, 2026.

In other news from Cathay Pacific, the airline will open its first-ever lounge in the U.S. next year. The flagship lounge will open its doors in 2026 with the opening of JFK’s all-new Terminal 6.
