We had to check the date to make sure it wasn’t April 1, did you?

It’s true: For a limited time this summer, Cayman Jack is hoping to take away the stress of your airport delay with free margaritas at its pop-up Cayman Club at JFK.

“You know how the things you don’t plan end up becoming some of your best memories? That’s the idea behind The Cayman Club,” said Kevin Brady, vice president of marketing at Cayman Jack Margaritas.

Shall we take a sip?

Delays Mean Margaritas at JFK

A new pop-up airport lounge offering complimentary margaritas is set to open its doors this summer.

For 2 days in July, if you find yourself delayed at New York’s JFK airport, head over to the TWA Hotel at Terminal 5 for free margaritas, courtesy of Cayman Jack.

The space will be open only on July 17 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on July 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There’s no need for a Priority Pass membership or credit card with lounge access benefits. Eligibility to use the lounge and enjoy a margarita is purely for those facing a delay, cancellation, or even a missed flight. Make sure to have your boarding pass in hand and proof that your trip got off to a faulty start.

The purpose of the Cayman Club is to kickstart vacation mode for those who’ve had an unfortunate start to their well-deserved trip. There’ll be Cayman Jack margaritas and snacks, spa-style services, and more.

The Cayman Club will also open virtually for passengers with travel day issues while flying from other airports. For a chance of winning a free margarita and other travel-themed prizes, head to missedflightlounge.com and share your travel day disruptions. The online Cayman Club will close its doors on September 1.

This isn’t the first JFK lounge with a unique twist this year. In May, we saw a pop-up lounge from Marshalls, the retail giant.

Hot Tip:

Summer travel days can be some of the busiest, most chaotic, and disrupted of the year. In addition to your free margarita, here are some tips on how to get compensation for any disruption you might face.

Final Thoughts

Should you find yourself facing travel disruption this July 17 and 18 at JFK, Cayman Jack will be standing by to take the edge off.

This is a great marketing play from Cayman and a lovely gesture for unfortunate travelers this summer at JFK. I might be here trying to miss my flight on purpose.
