Here’s a great offer to consider if you have a hefty balance of Chase Ultimate Rewards points to use.

Now, through January 15, 2025, you can receive a 20% bonus when transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Air Canada Aeroplan.

This is a nice promotion from Chase, and it’s even possible for some cardholders to get up to a 30% bonus!

Let’s take a look at the details.

Air Canada Aeroplan Transfer Bonus

Through January 15, 2025, Chase cardholders can receive a 20% bonus when they transfer Ultimate Rewards points to Air Canada Aeroplan.

To make the deal even sweeter, if you also have the Aeroplan® Credit Card, you’ll receive an additional 10% bonus, totaling a 30% bonus on transfers of 50,000 points or more. For example, if you transfer 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you’ll receive 65,000 Aeroplan points, which is a pretty good deal.

Here’s some of the fine print to be aware of:

  • The promotion ends on January 15, 2025.
  • The promotion is stackable with the Aeroplan card’s 10% bonus (up to 25,000 bonus points), triggered when you transfer a minimum of 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
  • Bonus points may take up to 7 days to credit.

With over 50 airline partners and the option to add stopovers for only 5,000 points, Air Canada Aeroplan is one of our favorite programs, so bonus points are always welcome.

Is It Worth It?

Stocking up on Aeroplan points is a good idea if you have some redemptions in mind.

With partners including SWISS, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, and even Emirates, you can unlock some incredible travel with these points.

Some examples to inspire your wanderlust:

  • Houston (IAH) to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) for 60,000 points one-way in United Polaris business class
  • New York (JFK) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) for 85,000 points one-way in Etihad Airways business class
  • San Francisco (SFO) to Auckland (AKL) for 75,000 points one-way in Air New Zealand business class
  • Seattle (SEA) to Tokyo-Narita (NRT) for 55,000 points one-way in ANA business class

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking to boost your Aeroplan balance and have Chase Ultimate Rewards points available, this is an excellent opportunity to do so.

With so many great partners, no fuel surcharges, and easy stopover options, having a stash of Aeroplan points is not a bad idea.

But as always, it’s best to have a specific redemption in mind before transferring, as points and miles are always at risk of devaluation.
