The Destination by Hyatt brand, which comprises a selection of upscale independent hotels and resorts, is growing with the addition of its latest location in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort, previously a Wyndham resort, will now be part of the World of Hyatt program, which should be a welcome addition for Hyatt loyalists.

Here are the details of this unique hotel.

A New Hyatt Hotel Nestled in the Rocky Mountains

The Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a Destination by Hyatt property situated just a short drive from downtown Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Airport (COS). It offers breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains and a tranquil 35-acre lake.

This hotel, formerly branded as A Dolce by Wyndham, underwent new ownership and is now part of the World of Hyatt program.

The resort features 316 guestrooms and suites, many of which offer private balconies with stunning views of the mountains or the lake.

The property features 5 swimming pools, 16 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, and an 18-hole golf course designed by Pete Dye. Additionally, there is a spa, a fitness center, and outdoor courts for beach volleyball and basketball.

James Wilson, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained executive chef, oversees the resort’s 3 restaurants. Guests can enjoy breakfast with stunning views, evening cocktails in the lounge, and seasonal al fresco dining.

“Cheyenne Mountain Resort perfectly embodies the Destination by Hyatt portfolio, inviting guests to enjoy the natural beauty and adventure-filled stays Colorado Springs offers through a local lens,” said Katie Johnson, vice president, global brand leader for Hyatt’s Independent Collection brands. “The addition of this unique hotel reflects Hyatt’s commitment to expanding the Destination by Hyatt brand presence in meaningful ways with distinct hotels that celebrate the unique essence of their locations.”

How To Book Cheyenne Mountain Resort

The Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a Category 5 World of Hyatt hotel. This means that if you want to redeem World of Hyatt points for a stay, it’ll cost just 17,000 (off-peak), 20,000 (standard), or 23,000 (peak) points per night.

If you want to earn more Hyatt points, you can open and spend on Hyatt co-branded credit cards or transfer points at a 1:1 ratio from Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards.

Hot Tip:

With rates starting at $139 per night and moderately priced throughout the year, evaluate the cost of using points versus paying cash. Thanks to the affordable nightly rates, it may make sense to save your points for a stay at a more expensive property.

Final Thoughts

The Cheyenne Mountain Resort, previously a Wyndham property, has now been incorporated into the Destination by Hyatt brand. Although it is not an actual ski resort, this pet-friendly and family-friendly mountain resort is fantastic for anyone looking to unwind and engage in outdoor activities.
