Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

To celebrate the launch of Alaska and Hawaiian’s new route to Seoul (ICN), the newly merged airlines are offering round-trip fares from Seattle (SEA) to the South Korean capital starting at $998.

While that price isn’t jaw-droppingly low, it is indeed the cheapest fare for those looking to fly nonstop between the 2 cities.

The offer will only be available for a limited time, so let’s take a look at the details.

Deal Alert Details

It’s exciting times on the West Coast as Alaska and Hawaiian build a formidable alliance.

To help kick-start the Hawaiian-operated new route from Seattle to Seoul, a limited-time deal of round-trip fares from $998 is currently on offer. The deal runs until the end of May 13, so you still have time left to think. Purchases must be made directly via Hawaiian’s website.

The offer is on Main Cabin fares which include 1 carry-on bag (24 pounds or 11 kilograms), a personal item, and inflight food and beverage service.

Hawaiian will deploy its fleet of Airbus A330-200 aircraft on this new route connecting Seattle and Seoul.

  • Class: Economy
  • Routes: Seattle (SEA) to Seoul (ICN)
  • Dates: September to November
  • Rates: From $998 round-trip

Here’s an example of a fare you could book today.

Compared with the fares offered by Asiana, Delta, and Korean on the same route, Hawaiian’s deal is over $300 cheaper!

Best Ways To Book

As these are cash-only fares, we recommend using a credit card that rewards you for booking flights.

In this case, you might even consider using the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card or Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard, as these give travelers extra perks when flying with these specific airlines. Passengers paying with these cards could enjoy free checked bags and priority boarding benefits, even when flying in economy.

Hot Tip:

Thanks to Alaska and Hawaiian’s merger, you can now earn more miles than ever before, which you can then use to redeem for your next trip. Once you’ve earned the miles, there are some great ways to maximize the value of those hard-earned miles.

Final Thoughts

The merger of Alaska and Hawaiian is bringing great travel opportunities for those living on the West Coast.

Even if $998 round-trip might not seem like pocket change, this is the cheapest way to fly nonstop between the 2 cities, so we think it’s a pretty solid deal.
