Delta and Airbnb have been partners for years, but the deal was always limited to earning 1 SkyMile per $1 spent on stays booked through deltaairbnb.com. That changed today, May 5, 2026.

Delta has expanded the partnership to cover Airbnb Experiences and Airbnb Services at a higher earning rate, and the mechanics of how you earn have gotten an overhaul, as well.

Here’s what’s new and how to take advantage of it.

Updated Delta and Airbnb Partnership

Previously, earning miles on Airbnb stays provided just 1 SkyMile per $1 spent. You also had to book through a special website, deltaairbnb.com.

As of today, the earning structure looks like this:

Earning excludes taxes, discounts, incentives, and other fees. Additionally, the 3x rate only applies when you book within 10 days of activating your booking window.

There’s also a functional update regarding how the partnership tracks bookings. Instead of routing through deltaairbnb.com every time you want to book, you now link your Delta SkyMiles and Airbnb accounts once at deltaairbnb.com. That activates a 10-day window during which any qualifying bookings on Airbnb earn miles.

After 10 days, you simply link the accounts again to start a new window. There’s no limit on how often you can refresh it.

Once linked, an estimate of how much mileage you’d earn shows up next to qualifying listings inside the Airbnb app and website, so you know up front what a booking would generate before you commit.

Bottom Line:

You need to relink your account after 10 days, but any reservations you make within 10 days of linking earns SkyMiles. Plus, you don’t have to book through a dedicated website, and the earning rate includes 3x miles on experiences.

How To Earn SkyMiles on Airbnb Stays

The process is straightforward. Here’s how to link your accounts and start earning:

  1. Go to deltaairbnb.com and click the button that says “Continue.”
  2. On the Airbnb page that opens, click the button that says “Connect to Delta.”

3. A pop-up window will open, asking for your Delta SkyMiles account information. Provide those details.
4. After you click where it says “Log in,” the page processes your information and closes the pop-up window. You should see a small message at the bottom of the page saying you’ll earn SkyMiles on qualifying bookings.

There are a few things worth flagging. The name on your Airbnb reservation still needs to match the name on your SkyMiles account. That requirement hasn’t changed.

And while the old setup required cookies to be enabled plus a click-through from the Delta Airbnb portal, the new linked-account model handles tracking automatically once accounts are connected. If your 10-day window closes before you book, head back to deltaairbnb.com and link again to open a new qualifying period.

Final Thoughts

Delta and Airbnb have expanded their partnership by adding 3x earnings on Airbnb Experiences and Services — available in addition to the 1x earnings on rentals. That earning rate hasn’t changed.

Additionally, you don’t need to book through a special link any longer. Now, you link your Delta and Airbnb accounts once to earn on any reservations made in the next 10 days. After those 10 days have passed, you can link your accounts to again to start earning SkyMiles on future reservations.
