Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is set to receive its first-ever flight to South Korea, thanks to Delta Air Lines, coming just in time for the peak summer season.

“As Salt Lake City continues to grow as a vital Delta hub, our strong joint venture with Korean Air allows us to offer unmatched connectivity between the U.S. and Asia, leveraging strong hubs on both sides,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s senior vice president of network planning.

This new route is notable as it will be the airport’s sole link to Asia when it launches in 2025. Here’s an in-depth look at the schedule, aircraft, and other details of Delta’s newest route announcement.

Salt Lake City Airport’s Inaugural Flight to Seoul

Starting on June 12, 2025, Delta will begin a once-daily service between Salt Lake City and Seoul with the following schedule:

  • Salt Lake City (SLC) to Seoul (ICN): Departs at 11:05 a.m., arrives at 3:20 p.m. (+1 day)
  • Seoul (ICN) to Salt Lake City (SLC): Departs at 7:40 p.m., arrives at 4:15 p.m.

The nonstop flight, clocking in at nearly 13 hours, will be operated by an Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 275 seats across Main Cabin, Premium Select, and Delta One.

Salt Lake City hasn’t had nonstop service to Asia since Delta discontinued its flight to Tokyo‘s Narita Airport in 2011. Through Delta’s joint venture with Korean Air, the carriers will offer access to Seoul from 14 U.S. cities, “providing the most extensive reach across Asia through the ICN hub compared to any other trans-Pacific joint venture,” according to Delta.

Salt Lake City Airport’s Major Upgrade

As one of the fastest-growing hubs in Delta’s network, the airport has recently undergone a significant transformation and is continuing to expand to accommodate even more routes in the future.

Delta exclusively operates from Concourse A at this airport, with plans to add additional gates to the newly upgraded terminal. Plus, passengers flying Delta One to Seoul — or those with the right lounge access credit cards — can enter the expansive Sky Club when traveling with the airline.

Also huge news for Salt Lake City: an American Express Centurion lounge will open at Concourse B in 2025. Here’s our extensive guide to the Amex lounge locations across the world.

Final Thoughts

On a personal note, Delta’s announcement of its newest route couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ll be relocating to Salt Lake City next month, so having nonstop service to Seoul to see family will be a huge win. For most travelers, though, connecting through Delta’s new Concourse A at Salt Lake City (SLC) will provide a seamless experience.
