Marriott is incentivizing its Bonvoy members to stay at its recently-acquired Mexican-based hotel chain City Express.

Members of the loyalty program will get 15% off every City Express stay and a bonus of 1,000 points on top of the discount.

Here are the details of Marriott’s latest promotion for stays at City Express properties.

The Promotion

If you were wondering, City Express hotels are one of the more affordable brands in Marriott’s portfolio.

To make the most of the promotion, you must book your prospective stays by September 10, 2023, so you still have time to consider this offer.

However, if you are considering booking, it’s worth noting that only a select number of rooms at each hotel will be available for the promotion.

When booking, travelers must use the promotional code M11 to trigger the discount and bonus point earnings.

The stay must take place from August 3, 2023, through January 31, 2024.

If you’re planning a tour around Mexico, you’ve got a great discount and points-earning potential as the country boasts over 100 City Express properties.

Tax will be an added cost at the hotel, and bookings of 10 or more rooms are not included.

Is This a Good Deal?

While we love getting discount and bonus points, this promotion is certainly not worth booking a trip to Latin America just for the sake of it.

However, if City Express hotels fit your budget and accommodation specifications, then the 15% discount on rates and the 1,000 bonus points should definitely be taken into consideration when comparing with other non-Marriott properties.

As extra food for thought, as per our current points valuations, the bonus of 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points has a cash value of around $7.

Final Thoughts

Regarding Bonvoy promotions, this isn’t among the best we’ve seen as City Express hotels is a very niche focus. However, if you are planning a trip to Mexico before January 31, 2024, 15% off and a 1,000-point bonus might be tempting enough to try out a City Express hotel!
