The Israeli flag carrier EL AL has confirmed a year-round, nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Tel Aviv (TLV).

As first reported by Dan’s Deals, the Tel Aviv-based airline will add to the 6 round-trip seasonal services it already had scheduled for September and October 2023 by introducing regularly scheduled flights between the 2 cities from April 15, 2024.

Here are the details of the newest link between South Florida and Israel.

EL AL Makes Seasonal Fort Lauderdale Service a Permanent Feature

South Florida is proving to be a key market for EL AL given the large Jewish diaspora in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas.

The airline is currently the only carrier to provide nonstop connections for those wishing to travel between South Florida and Israel.

EL AL’s new regularly scheduled service between Fort Lauderdale and Tel Aviv will operate twice weekly.

Flights will depart from Tel Aviv on Mondays and Fridays while the return leg from Fort Lauderdale will depart on Mondays and Saturdays.

The schedule is as follows:

With the addition of this new service to South Florida, EL AL will reduce its Miami service from 6 to 5 weekly.

The route will be operated by the airline’s fleet of Dreamliner aircraft which feature lie-flat seats in business class, as well as separate premium economy, extra space economy, and regular economy class seating.

The exact number of seats in each cabin varies depending on whether its the smaller 787-8 or the larger 787-9.

Where Does EL AL Fly to in the U.S.?

With the addition of Fort Lauderdale, EL AL will fly nonstop from Tel Aviv to the 7 following U.S. airports: Boston (BOS), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Newark (EWR), New York (JFK), and, of course, Fort Lauderdale.

Final Thoughts

EL AL will double down on South Florida from April 15, 2024, when the Israeli national carrier starts its permanent twice-weekly service between Fort Lauderdale and Tel Aviv.
