Frontier will significantly increase its route network this coming winter with no less than 22 new routes.

The routes will include new international services to Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico, as well as the airline’s first-ever nonstop connection to Providenciales (PLS) in Turks and Caicos.

“We are on a mission to increase service domestically and internationally, and in the process redefine air travel by demonstrating that it can be comfortable, convenient, and affordable,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier.

Frontier Expands in the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America

While Spirit Airlines’ future hangs in the balance, Frontier is offering yet more new routes to reassure travelers that their low-cost flights are going nowhere.

The routes will operate mostly once or twice weekly, which suits vacationers with several days available to travel. We expect Frontier will closely analyze the demand for the new routes over the winter to decide which to axe and which to deploy more aircraft on moving forward.

The routes, start dates, and frequencies are detailed in the table below:

Daily

In celebration of the new routes, Frontier is offering one-way fares on hops between Chicago and Minneapolis from just $19. You’ll also find several of these new international routes starting at just $49 one-way.

Remember that Frontier is a low-cost carrier, so you’ll pay fees for checked baggage when booking the cheapest tickets.

Bottom Line:

The low-cost airline industry in the U.S. is entering unprecedented times. Southwest has completely changed its business model, Spirit’s days appear to be numbered, and Frontier won’t stop adding new routes.

Final Thoughts

Frontier Airlines is solidifying its status as a robust low-cost carrier with no less than 22 new routes spanning the Americas and the Caribbean.

With fares starting from just $19 one-way on some routes, look no further than Frontier as the cheapest airline around.
