Hilton is planning a significant expansion in Morocco. The goal is to open 9 new hotels spanning 7 brands, the first of which will open in 2025 and the last in 2027.

There is a lot to talk about when it comes to Hilton’s growth strategy in Morocco, so let’s get started!

Hilton’s Expansion Includes 7 Different Brands

Hilton has revealed plans for the arrival of 7 brands, including several of its most luxurious ones, in Morocco by 2027. This move will add over 1,300 rooms to the Hilton Honors program in the increasingly popular North African country.

This exciting expansion includes 7 of Hilton’s well-known brands, featuring the debut of the swanky Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts in Rabat, along with the introduction of LXR Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton to the Moroccan market.

The upcoming hotels include:

  • Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Sale Hotel: Scheduled to open in early 2025, the 55-room hotel will be located in the 250-meter-tall King Mohammed VI Tower in Sale city near Rabat, and it will feature 4 restaurants, a spa, a business hall, and more.
  • LXR Casablanca: Opening in 2025, the hotel will have 148 guest rooms and suites and will feature a rooftop bar with beautiful views and 3 restaurants.
  • Hilton Rabat: Opening in 2026, this hotel will have 162 modern guest rooms and suites. Amenities will include an indoor and outdoor pool, spa, and fitness facilities.
  • Curio Collection by Hilton – Casablanca: Scheduled to open in 2026, the 63-room hotel will be located near vibrant food and beverage, entertainment, and retail offerings.
  • Curio Collection by Hilton – Rabat: Slated to open in 2026, the 94-room hotel will have 3 restaurants, including a rooftop swimming pool, and is located 5 minutes from the Royal Palace of Rabat.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Casablanca City Centre: Set to open in 2025, the 389-room property will feature 4 specialty restaurants, a lobby bar, a tea lounge, and a 2,500 square meter spa.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca City Centre: Just like the DoubleTree by Hilton Casablanca City Centre, the 176-room Hilton Garden Inn will bring the brand’s upscale and affordable hospitality to Casablanca. We expect the hotel to open in 2026.
  • Hampton by Hilton Ben Guerir: The hotel, with plans to open in 2025, will be located opposite the famed Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. The 94-room hotel will provide a modern and comfortable stay, featuring comfortably designed rooms, a dining and lounge space, and a gym.
  • Hampton by Hilton Fes Golf: Expected to open in 2027, the 161-room hotel will be strategically located adjacent to the Oued Fes Golf Resort and is near Fes Railway station.

The 9 new properties join Hilton’s growing portfolio in Morocco, which consists of 10 hotels, including Conrad Rabat Arzana and Hilton Taghazout Bay Beach Resort and Spa, and 4 further properties under development, including the debut of the iconic Waldorf Astoria and lifestyle Canopy by Hilton in Tangier.

Hot Tip:

Hilton’s luxury brands — including Waldorf Astoria and LXR Hotels & Resorts — are set to make their exciting debut in Morocco, highlighting the growing interest in luxury travel to this beautiful North African destination.

Booking Hilton Hotels in Morocco

You can start earning Hilton Honors points for a future stay, even though these 9 new hotels are still under development and not yet available for booking with cash or points.

Hilton points are super simple to earn, thanks to the hotel chain’s variety of co-branded credit cards that come with welcome bonuses and elite status perks. You also can transfer points to Hilton from American Express Membership Rewards, take a Lyft ride, or eat out through Hilton Honors Dining.

Final Thoughts

Hilton is wrapping up 2024 with exciting news from Morocco, as the brand is significantly expanding its hotels and resorts in the country. By 2027, Hilton guests looking to explore Morocco will find an impressive variety of hotel choices across the country.
