Hilton for Business launched in January of 2024, offering discounts, bonus points after the first stay, milestone bonuses, and a way for businesses to control spending while earning rewards for employee travel. It’s free to join.

Even better, your stays booked through Hilton for Business count toward earning Hilton Honors elite status — which you can accomplish twice as fast this year, thanks to a new promotion.

Hilton for Business Program Overview

Hilton for Business is aimed at small- and medium-sized businesses looking for loyalty benefits from employee travel. It’s free to join, and you’ll earn 7,500 bonus points for your organization after completing your first stay on the Hilton for Business rate.

Speaking of rates, there’s no minimum spending required for earning rewards, and you’ll get access to discounted rates when booking through the platform. And you can easily transfer Hilton Honors points between the company account and your personal account (or employees’ personal accounts) at any time.

Even better, stays count toward earning Hilton Honors elite status.

Hilton for Business Double Night Credits Promotion

Through December 31, 2024, you can earn double night credit on stays booked through Hilton for Business. Those enrolled in Hilton for Business will be automatically registered for this promotion, which is a nice touch.

The promotion’s terms here state that double nights will be awarded on stays from July 1 to December 31, 2024 at any hotel or resort in the Hilton portfolio. You must be enrolled in Hilton for Business before checkout from a hotel in order to qualify.

One great aspect of this promotion is that you’ll earn double nights on all stays during the promotion period, even if you check in before it starts or check out after it ends. Hilton promotions aren’t typically this generous.

The terms state that it may take up to 6 or 8 weeks to see the extra tier qualifying nights, and there’s no limit to how many nights you can earn with this offer. The bonus qualifying nights will count toward your 2024 elite status and will count toward rollover nights.

Hot Tip:

Existing bookings and reward stays also qualify, further sweetening this promotion.

Is It Worth It?

Considering the perks of Hilton elite status and the requirements for earning Silver, Gold, or Diamond status in the program, cutting the effort in half is a great promotion. It’s even better when you consider that award stays are included — as are existing bookings.

For context, consider that Hilton’s regular status match/challenge offer only applies to paid stays, though it can be a great shortcut to Hilton status in your first year. This offer for double night credits with Hilton for Business doesn’t provide the initial shortcut, but it provides advantages for the long-term, such as qualifying for rollover nights.

What are rollover nights? If you earn more nights than needed for your Hilton status, all those extra nights roll over into next year, giving you a jump start on status. For example, earning Hilton Diamond status (the top tier) typically requires 60 nights or 30 stays in a year. If you stay 65 nights with Hilton in a year, those 5 extra nights will roll into the next year, meaning you need just 55 more nights to re-qualify for Diamond status, thanks to this head start.

With this current Hilton for Business promotion, you could earn Hilton status with half the normal requirements:

  • Hilton Silver status: Normally requires 10 nights per year, but you could reach this tier with 5 nights during the promotion.
  • Hilton Gold status: Unlocked after 40 nights, stay just 20 nights during the double nights promotion.
  • Hilton Diamond status: Requires 60 nights per year — or stay 30 nights during the promotion.

It’s worth noting that Hilton credit cards provide elite status automatically, no effort required. For example, The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card offers complimentary Gold status to the primary account holder. Meanwhile, the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card offers top-tier Diamond status as a built-in benefit, though this is a personal credit card.

Moreover, this route can be advantageous to the account owner but not very meaningful to the employees traveling for business purposes. Weigh the options to see what works best in your situation.

Final Thoughts

If Hilton is your brand of choice and you travel for work, it’s worth signing up for Hilton for Business. To further convince you, Hilton has an offer for double night credits in the second half of 2024. You’ve got 6 months’ worth of opportunities to reach Hilton elite status with half the nights normally required, thanks to this offer, and the terms are very generous.
