Park City Peaks Hotel is situated in the heart of Park City, Utah — a destination famous among outdoors lovers. Now, the hotel will convert into the Hotel Thaynes, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in the Marriott Bonvoy family. This comes with a renovation that should wrap up in October.

From new art, balconies, and “spa-inspired bathrooms,” the hotel will have a fresh face when it joins Marriott’s growing family. Let’s take a look at what’s happening with this hotel.

Turning Park City Peaks Into the Hotel Thaynes

Among the dozens of Marriott Bonvoy brands, the Tribute Portfolio of hotels emphasizes an independent spirit, striking design elements, bold colors, and art installations. Many of these properties are set in buildings that were repurposed into hotels.

And you’ll find many of these elements already present at the Park City Peaks hotel, located in Park City with easy access to nature and Main Street.

Onsite amenities include a heated pool, onsite parking, complimentary yoga, a gym, and onsite dining that’s known for great pizza. The hotel also has 2 event spaces: the 665-square-feet Aspen Boardroom and the 1,000-square-feet Spruce Room.

During the winter, the hotel has ski and snowboard rentals and a complimentary ski shuttle serving Deer Valley, Park City Mountain, and Main Street. The hotel provides easy access to mountain biking and hiking in warmer months.

As part of the hotel’s renovation, it will boast an expanded sauna and fitness center, as well as walk-in showers with modern finishes. The property will remain open during the renovation, though this process should wrap up in October 2025.

Marriott already has a strong presence in Park City with properties from AC Hotels, Autograph Collection, St. Regis, Sheraton, and Marriott Vacation Club. This will be the first Tribute Portfolio property in the area, however.

How To Book

A 2-night stay over a weekend in August shows prepaid, nonrefundable reservations starting at $152 — or $179 for a refundable rate. Suites cost roughly $80 more per night.

Over a weekend in November, however, rates start at $10 more per room. You’ll find prepaid rates from $161 per night and flexible rates starting at $189 for a standard room.

Hot Tip:

There’s no page for Hotel Thaynes, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel on Marriott’s website yet. Thus, we don’t know how much a stay will cost in Marriott Bonvoy points just yet.

Final Thoughts

Park City Peaks is undergoing a big renovation and will soon join the Marriott Bonvoy, changing names to Hotel Thaynes, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Centrally located in Park City with access to all the area is famous for, the hotel should be available for reservations using Marriott Bonvoy points in the near future.
