Until now, Hyatt hasn’t really featured among the list of major hotel chains with deals available in these portals. However, we’re happy to learn that Hyatt now looks like a permanent fixture on both Capital One Shopping and Rakuten shopping portals.

World of Hyatt is now on Rakuten. For those who are unfamiliar, Rakuten is a shopping portal that rewards users for making purchases through its platform with cash-back, American Express Membership Rewards, or Bilt Rewards points.

I just logged into Rakuten, and the World of Hyatt offer I was shown was 12% cash-back (up from 3%).

This is great for anyone who’s planning a Hyatt vacation. I just booked a 3-night stay in Brisbane myself, but, unfortunately, the cash-back is only available for stays in Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the U.S.

Hyatt is now also listed on the Capital One Shopping portal, as pointed out by Frequent Miler. The public offer is currently 2%, but there are reports that some members have received targeted emails with offers of up to 15%.

It’s worth noting that cash-back from the Capital One Shopping portal can only be redeemed for gift cards. Thus, you’ll likely get more value from your rewards by making purchases through Rakuten instead.

Maximize the value of your Hyatt spending through Capital One Shopping or Rakuten by using a travel rewards credit card, too. If you visit Hyatt properties regularly, consider a co-branded Hyatt credit card instead of a general travel rewards credit card, boosting the number of points you’ll earn when paying for your reservations.
