If you’re headed to the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in New York this year, there are a host of events occurring from sponsors and brands. That includes activations from IHG, the official hotel partner of the tournament.

Here’s what you can expect, including installations based on “the divisive color of a tennis ball.”

IHG at the 2024 U.S. Open

To kick off the U.S. Open, the hotel brand is hosting “The IHG Rally Room,” which is “an over-the-top, tennis-ball-themed suite that caters to both sides” of the debate on whether a tennis ball is yellow or green.

You’ll find this exclusive suite at both the Kimpton Hotel Eventi in Midtown Manhattan and Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown, though this location is considerably far from the U.S. Open itself. The suite is available for a maximum stay of 2 nights throughout the U.S. Open, which runs from August 26 to September 8, 2024. You can book the suite by emailing ExperienceIHG@ihg.com.

“Whether a tennis ball is green or yellow is up to our guests to decide. We love how the ‘IHG Rally Room’ taps into this fun conversation at a time when all eyes are on tennis during the US Open, where IHG is a proud, longstanding partner,” said Connor Smith, VP of Masterbrand and Partnerships at IHG.

IHG is also offering an invite-only Grand Slam Social at the Kimpton Hotel Eventi in NYC. Happening on August 21, 2024, DJ Mark Ronson will headline the event, and guests will find cocktails, lush greenery, and a pop-up installation of “The Rally Room.”

Once onsite at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, IHG will provide cold drinks at the IHG Hotels & Resorts Racquet Bar, located on the terrace outside the stadium. You’ll find shade here to escape from the heat, along with a VIP treatment of cocktails and wine by the glass. This space is open from August 22 to September 8, 2024.

Finally, IHG also offers its IHG One Rewards loyalty members unique experiences, including behind-the-scenes tours, the chance to attend post-match conferences, and more. You can bid to redeem points for these fun experiences at the U.S. Open on IHG One Rewards Access.

Amex cardholders at the U.S. Open Tennis Championship have much to look forward to. Here is a full list of Amex-specific events and experiences for 2024.

Final Thoughts

The U.S. Open is one of the biggest sports events of the year, so any perks are welcome. For the 2024 edition of this major tennis tournament, IHG is offering up a few branded events in and around New York City for spectators to enjoy, as well as a themed suite all the way down in Atlanta.
