Tennis fans heading to Flushing, New York, this year to take in the U.S. Open Tennis Championship have a lot to look forward to.

Besides the world-class tennis matches, select American Express cardholders can also enjoy a suite of benefits, including lounge access, exclusive activities, Break the Love court reservations, discounts, and more, from August 28 through September 6, 2023.

So, let’s take a look at the details.

Centurion Lounge

One of the biggest perks, reserved for Centurion Members and The Platinum Card® from American Express cardholders, is the Centurion Lounge.

Located on the second level of Louis Armstrong Stadium, this exclusive pop-up lounge will feature curated dishes by famous chefs, including Michael Solomonov and Cedric Vongerichten, specialty cocktails by Centurion Lounge Mixologist Jim Meehan, wine offerings, and travel-themed activities, including creating your own personalized passport cover.

To access the U.S. Open Centurion Lounge, which is celebrating the network’s 10-year anniversary, it is recommended to make a reservation via Resy. However, there will also be an option for waitlist access during the event.

Amex Platinum cardmembers can make U.S. Open Centurion Lounge reservations for up to 2 people, while Centurion <embers may make reservations for up to 4 people.

Card Member Lounge

All American Express cardmembers will have free access to the American Express Card Member Lounge on the second level of the American Express U.S. Open Fan Experience.

This air-conditioned space will feature a long list of goodies including:

  • Espresso martitines by Lavazza
  • Frozen Grey Goose Honey Deuces
  • Massage therapy from Therabody
  • Phone chargers
  • Ralph Lauren’s “Create Your Own” kiosk
  • Sneaker cleaning services with Jason Markk, and more …

Each cardholder can bring 2 guests into the lounge with them.

Break the Love

Teaming up for the second straight year, American Express and the social sports platform Break the Love will be giving away 10,000 court reservations on over 500 pickleball and tennis courts across the Tri-State area.

Starting on Wednesday, August 23rd, fans can secure a free court reservation online.

The complimentary reservations are valid from August 24 through September 24, 2023, and Amex cardmembers will have the opportunity to secure peak reservation times.

Bag Check Discount

Due to strict security and bag limitations, guests are only allowed 1 bag no larger than 12 x 12 x 16 inches.

Guests with extra bags will be directed to the bag storage facility located outside the South and East gates.

There will be a “nominal charge” for checked bags; however, Amex cardholders can save $5 per card.

American Express Radios

With matches playing at the same time, you may want to watch one and listen to another.

Cardholders will have access to American Express Radios that will have the ESPN live broadcast, so no you won’t miss out on the action.

These earpiece radios are limited to 1 per card and only while supplies last.

Fan Experience

Everyone loves a souvenir or something to remember a fun experience, and there will be no shortage of either at the 2023 U.S. Open.

American Express U.S. Consumer cardmembers can claim a free digital collectible (NFT) inside the U.S. Open American Express Fan Experience, as well as participate in a live mural experience with illustrator Vero Escalante.

Fans can also take part in some Glow Tennis, cryotherapy by Kollectiv, and of course, there will be plenty of concessions to purchase at the checkout-free American Express Shop in the South Plaza.

The U.S. Open is one of the most popular sporting events of the year and the most prestigious tennis tournament in the U.S., so getting special perks and discounts is always welcome.
