If you’re planning a visit to an IHG property this year, you can save 20% just by paying with your Visa credit card if you live in select countries.

This rate is available at hotels worldwide, so if you aren’t using your points for your stay, this is a great way to save some cash.

There are a few requirements, so let’s take a look at the details.

IHG One Rewards members located in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Maldives, Laos, Japan, Micronesia, Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific Islands, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh, and Nepal can save 20% off the Best Flexible Rate when booking the Visa partner rate through the end of 2025.

If you weren’t already planning on booking an award stay, this is a great way to save some cash and earn some points.

With no blackout dates and 6,000+ properties around the world, finding a hotel to use this deal should be easy. However, there are some details to know about:

Book by December 31, 2025.
Stay by January 3, 2026.

Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance.
Cancellations within 7 days of check-in will be charged 1 night.

There is no prepayment required, so if you see a rate that you like, it may be worth locking it in now as long as you remember to cancel.

Example Rates

Although we prefer to pay for stays using IHG One Rewards points whenever possible, it can often make sense to pay cash. The Best Flexible Rate may not always be the cheapest, but it does allow for free cancellations, which is great when planning travel far in advance.

However, we did find some properties where the Visa partner rate was significantly cheaper.

For example, the InterContintenal Boston has rates in May starting at $505 with the 20% discount.

The next lowest rate jumps up to $659 for the same night.

Nightly rates at the Hotel Indigo: San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter drop from $364 to $311 per night in June.

The Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach, on the other hand, is showing more expensive rates when applying the Visa discount.

Select IHG One Rewards members can save 20% on select stays when paying with a Visa credit card. But, as always, run the numbers to make sure you’re actually getting the best price.
