IHG is expanding its footprint in the Southeastern U.S. by opening a new voco hotel in Atlanta. This is the brand’s debut in Georgia’s capital city.

Here’s what you need to know.

IHG’s Voco The Darwin Hotel Now Open in Atlanta

Voco Hotels, a premium brand within the IHG Hotels & Resorts global portfolio, has officially made its debut in Atlanta with the opening of voco The Darwin Hotel.

The new voco The Darwin Hotel in Atlanta’s lively Midtown neighborhood is a charming 111-room property that provides easy access to the city’s dynamic arts scene, culinary spots, and bustling tech offices.

Amenities include a fitness center, an onsite dog park, and an outdoor cocktail bar offering a selection of craft drinks, local beers, and tasty snacks. There’s also an onsite restaurant where you can savor breakfast, dinner, and grab-and-go lunch options, along with a beverage bar that serves the brand’s signature barista-crafted coffee and delightful pastries from the beloved Alon’s Bakery in Atlanta.

The hotel also provides guests with 2 electric bicycles to borrow at no cost, making it easy to explore popular attractions like Ponce City Market, the Beltline, and the Georgia Aquarium.

“As the first voco hotel in Atlanta, and in the backyard of our Americas regional headquarters, voco The Darwin Hotel marks an exciting milestone for our rapidly growing brand,” said Carol Hoeller, Vice President of Global Brand Management for voco hotels.

Booking Voco The Darwin Hotel

The hotel market in Atlanta is highly competitive, which means you can expect to find good value whether you choose to pay with cash or points.

If you are considering a trip to Atlanta, you have the option to redeem IHG One Rewards points for a free night award at voco The Darwin Hotel starting at 45,000 points.

If you wish to save your points and pay cash, nightly rates are quite affordable, starting at $125 per night.

Similar to many other hotel chains in the current landscape, IHG One Rewards has moved away from using a fixed award chart and has instead implemented a system of variable award pricing. Award nights can fluctuate in price based on various factors, such as demand and the time of year.

IHG offers 3 credit cards — 2 personal and 1 business — all issued by Chase. You also can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.

Making its first impression in Atlanta, voco The Darwin Hotel offers an attractively priced choice in a lively neighborhood, poised to be a popular choice among travelers eager to earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points. This newly converted property is now open for guests.
