InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its first InterContinental hotel in the Pacific Northwest, a new property in Bellevue, Washington.

Let’s take a look at IHG’s newest InterContinental hotel and learn how to book it with points!

First InterContinental Property in the Pacific Northwest

InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue boasts a wide range of accommodations, including 208 rooms and suites. Among them is a luxurious 2-bedroom Presidential Suite spanning an impressive 2,000 square feet.

The hotel, situated in downtown Bellevue, offers stunning views of Lake Washington and downtown Seattle. It also offers a variety of amenities, including 3 dining venues, a spa, a beauty salon, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and over 12,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor event space.

Only 3 hotels in the region—including InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue—feature a Les Clefs d’Or-certified concierge team. The concierge team can arrange for guests exclusive wine tours and an opportunity to meet winemakers, participate in interactive workshops with Avenue Bellevue partners, and even enjoy private seaplane excursions offering breathtaking aerial views of Lake Washington, the Cascade Mountains, Snoqualmie, and Sammamish.

This hotel marks the debut of InterContinental brand in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

In announcing the opening, IHG says the hotel is poised to become a premier destination for local, regional, and global travelers.

“We welcome guests with extraordinary amenities and contemporary comforts, reflecting Bellevue’s unique charm and the brand’s legacy of luxury,” said Haje Roger Thurau, general manager, InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue.

Booking With IHG One Rewards Points

For summer dates, cash rates at InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue start at $399 per night. Award nights start at 70,000 IHG One Rewards points per night, making rates on par with the often-pricey InterContinental brand.

Final Thoughts

Whenever a new InterContinental hotel opens, it’s always exciting for travelers. However, InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue stands out as the first InterContinental hotel in the Pacific Northwest.

This makes it truly special, both because of its unique location and the consistently high quality of service of the brand. If you’ve been considering a trip to the Seattle area, this luxury hotel is definitely worth considering.
