Building out its winter schedule, JetBlue has revealed the details of new service to the islands of Bonaire (BON) and St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD), which will begin this fall.

The 2 new routes will operate from the airline’s main hub: New York’s JFK.

“By offering nonstop service from New York’s JFK Airport to both islands, we look forward to strengthening our presence in Latin America and the Caribbean and bringing our low fares and great service to new markets, while giving our customers more travel options,” said David Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue.

Here are the details of JetBlue’s hottest new routes to the Caribbean.

JetBlue’s New Caribbean Routes

When the routes launch in the fall, JetBlue will be the only airline offering nonstop flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Bonaire, while Caribbean Airlines operates a twice-weekly service between JFK and St. Vincent.

The first flight to launch will be to St. Vincent on October 9, 2024.

“We look forward to seeing you in St. Vincent and the Grenadines soon,” said Honorable Carlos James, minister of tourism, civil aviation, sustainable development, and culture for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The route will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays with the following schedule:

  • Depart New York (JFK) 9:29 a.m. — Arrive St. Vincent (SVD) 2:19 p.m.
  • Depart St Vincent (SVD) 3:45 p.m. — Arrive New York (JFK) 9 p.m.

Almost a month later, JetBlue will depart for Bonaire for the first time on November 5, 2024, marking an important milestone in the history of the airline and the boost to tourism that it could bring for the island.

“The addition to JetBlue’s repertoire of Caribbean routes gives a new audience of travelers the chance to visit with ease and explore the nature, culture and individuality of our beloved island,” said Miles Mercera, CEO at Tourism Corporation Bonaire.

JetBlue will also operate this route twice per week, with the following schedule:

  • Depart New York (JFK) 7 a.m. — Arrive Bonaire (BON) 12:46 p.m.
  • Depart Bonaire (BON) 2:10 p.m. — Arrive New York (JFK) 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now over on JetBlue’s website where you’ll find introductory fares starting at $159 one-way.

Hot Tip:

In case you missed it, JetBlue just launched a new service to Edinburgh in Scotland taking the total number of European cities it flies to this summer to 5! Round-trip fares start at $495 in Core!

Final Thoughts

JetBlue’s new routes, set to launch this fall, are the ideal excuse to board a jet and escape the cold for some tropical breeze and sun. These new destinations are attractive for New Yorkers since they provide other intriguing Caribbean destinations to fly to during those chilly winter months.
