JSX, a semi-private airline that offers fixed-schedule charter operations without the most common headaches of flying, is expanding in the place where it was born: Orange County, California.

From a new base of operations — with a larger and improved passenger lounge — to new flights out of John Wayne Airport (SNA), the carrier is both growing and betting on continued growth for the area.

Here’s a look at JSX’s new location at the airport and its 2 new routes out of Orange County.

JSX Celebrates Grand Opening at New Orange County Base

JSX doesn’t operate out of the main terminal at airports it serves, and it doesn’t require you to arrive 2 hours before departure to check in and drop off luggage. Thus, the parts of air travel people don’t like — crowded, noisy terminals combined with lots of waiting — are gone.

JSX previously operated out of the ACI Jets space at the southeast corner of John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County, California. A few weeks ago, it relocated to the other side of the airport, expanding into a larger, newer, and brighter space on Airway Avenue on the airport’s west side. It celebrated the grand opening of that space today, April 28, 2025.

JSX CEO Alex Wilcox spoke at the new facility’s grand opening in Orange County.

The new JSX facility includes a larger lounge, more seating, the addition of an espresso machine, and lots of windows to make this waiting area brighter than the previous location on the other side of the airport. It also includes other standard elements like restrooms and security prior to boarding.

In addition to inaugurating the new base and customer lounge, the carrier discussed its current and future growth and celebrated the announcement of new routes out of SNA.

Hot Tip:

It’s possible to book JSX flights directly with the carrier or through United Airlines, which can help you earn more United Airlines MileagePlus miles by booking that way. Make sure to compare prices to ensure you’re getting the best price while earning airline miles from your flight.

Final Thoughts

JSX was born in Orange County before relocating its headquarters to Dallas. The carrier still has big plans for its original hometown, continuing to add new destinations to its John Wayne Airport service. Plus, it’s now operating out of a new facility that should improve the customer experience while waiting for boarding.
