[Expired] Kayak Users Can Get 3 Months of CLEAR Membership for Free

Thanksgiving is typically the busiest travel time of the year, and airport security lines are accordingly long.

Kayak has partnered with security screening company CLEAR to help travelers expedite the security process and get on their way as seamlessly and stress-free as possible.

Sign Up for a Free 3-Month Trial Before December 31

Kayak has announced that its users can sign up for a free 3-month trial membership to CLEAR from now through December 31, 2022.

This is expected to be the busiest Thanksgiving travel week since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Air travel this week has already eclipsed 2021 figures — nearly 2.3 million passengers passed through Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening checkpoints on November 22.

The agency says the 3 busiest days during Thanksgiving week are typically the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after the holiday.

“Flying over the holidays this year is going to be busy and expensive, so we wanted to make it as easy and affordable as possible for travelers to get to their final destinations,” said Matt Clarke, VP of Marketing at KAYAK, North America, in a statement.

Other Complimentary and Discounted Options for Membership

If you aren’t familiar, CLEAR is a program that utilizes biometrics to enter the security queues at airports and stadiums faster for a more seamless travel experience. The program has 1 membership type: the standard CLEAR membership, which costs $189 annually.

While a complimentary 3-month membership is a good thing, especially before the holidays, there are other ways to get a CLEAR membership at a discounted rate — or even complimentary.

Those who hold The Platinum Card^® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card^® from American Express, or the Centurion^® Card from American Express can receive a statement credit of up to $189 that reimburses an annual CLEAR membership (upon enrollment).

Top-tier Delta SkyMiles and United MileagePlus members receive a complimentary membership, while all other tiers receive a discounted membership.

Students, active duty and retired military, and government employees can also get discounted membership.
