Victoria M. Walker is a travel reporter based in New York City. She has been tapped as an expert on traveling during the pandemic and is frequently a guest on shows such as ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” NPR’s “All Things Considered,” CNBC, and MSNBC.
Victoria got into travel writing by blogging about her experiences traveling as a Black woman. In 5 years, she has traveled to over 25 countries and racked up hundreds of thousands of miles in the air. She is an award-winning journalist who started her career at The Washington Post and was most recently the Senior Travel Reporter at The Points Guy where she led coverage of the pandemic’s impact on travel.
Between 2017 and 2019, Victoria first served as an adjunct and then full-time multimedia journalism lecturer at her alma mater, Howard University. Victoria taught Multimedia Storytelling, Intro to Media Production, and Digital Media Literacy. She holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the Howard University School of Communications.
