Korean Air has revealed that it plans to open a new 16,000-square-foot lounge at the New Terminal One in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Here’s what you need to know.

Korean Air Lounge Opening at JFK’s New Terminal One in 2026

Korean Air says it will open a vast 16,000-square-foot Korean Air lounge at the New Terminal One of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Korean Air lounge will be among the largest lounges at the New Terminal One, a dedicated international terminal that will offer premium amenities and cutting-edge technology.

Located at the end of the New Terminal One’s east pier, the lounge will provide  direct boarding access to the aircraft, offering convenience for Korean Air customers departing from New York City. Among the top-notch amenities for the airline’s First and Prestige Class customers as well as elite frequent flyers, the Korean Air lounge will offer a show kitchen and bar, offering a diverse array of fresh culinary delights, crafted in the on-site kitchen.

At this time, we have limited information regarding the new Korean Air lounge at JFK. However, as the lounge construction progresses, we anticipate that more details will become available.

“We are delighted to announce our plans to launch a new lounge at The New Terminal One (NTO) at JFK,” said David Pacey, Executive Vice President & Chief of In-flight Service and Lounges, Korean Air. “This premier facility, with panoramic airfield views, will offer our customers departing from New York an elevated experience, featuring top-notch technology and service. We look forward to collaborating closely with NTO as we prepare for the unveiling of this state-of-the-art lounge in 2026.”

The new lounge, which will become one of the largest in Korean Air’s global network outside of its hub at Seoul Incheon, reinforces the airline’s growth plans for one of its main U.S. hubs — New York’s JFK Airport.

Who Will Be Able To Access Korean Air’s New JFK Lounge?

As of now, we know that Korean Air’s First and Prestige Class customers, as well as elite members of the airline’s SKYPASS loyalty program, will have access to the new Korean Air lounge at JFK.

It’s unclear whether non-elite members or passengers who do not fly in the carrier’s premium cabins will be allowed to pay an entry fee to visit the JFK lounge.
